Over his career, Les Potter had developed real products in many languages. His goal has not been to know any language perfectly, but to "learn how to learn" so that any language is nearly effortless to assimilate and apply. This has greatly cut the learning curve on several assignments. Source code is more often read than written, and so with his incredible ability to absorb new languages, Les actively contributes to his projects far sooner than most would.
This zeal for learning applies in other disciplines as well. Les has acquired a little German, Spanish, French and Mandarin Chinese (well enough to a function as a tourist in Beijing).
Les particularly likes Math. Mostly self taught (in calculus, linear algebra, and GF2 specific finite fields), he enjoys cracking open a text book to cozy up to warm fire for some light reading.
